갤러리JJ는 오는 2월 27일부터 4월 4일까지 조각가 윤성진의 개인전 《윤성진: 2면 / 2시점》을 개최한다. 윤성진 작가는 회화와 조각을 넘어선 공간을 모색하며, 동시대 조각의 새로운 경험을 탐구해 왔다. 전통 조각의 물성과 양감을 최소화하고 회화적 평면을 지향하는 역설적인 방식으로, 양면을 지닌 추상적 오브제인 ‘2면 조각(2-Face Sculpture)’을 제시한다.

이번 전시는 파리에서의 오랜 생활을 마치고 서울로 돌아온 이후 지난 4년간의 작업들을 모아 최초로 선보이는 자리로, 신작 〈접힌 사각형〉을 비롯해 대표적인 ‘2면 조각’ 연작을 소개하며, 공간에 세워지는 스탠딩 작업과 벽면을 활용한 벽 작업 등 20여 점으로 구성된다. 이번 전시는 그 동안 그가 사유하고 구축해온 조형 방식, 그리고 관람객의 시지각적 경험을 기반으로 한 독자적인 작품 세계를 조명한다.

Gallery JJ is pleased to present a solo exhibition by sculptor Seongjin Yune: tited 《Yune Seongjin: 2 Faces / 2 Visions》 , from Feburary 27th to 4th April. Yune seeks spaces that transcend the boundaries between painting and sculpture, exploring new experiences in contemporary art. Through a paradoxical approach that minimizes the physicality and volume of traditional sculpture in favor of a pictorial plane, he introduces '2-Face Sculpture'—abstract object composed of two flat surfaces.

This exhibition is the first presentation of the artist’s work from the past four years since his return to Seoul after a long period in Paris. Featuring over twenty works, including his latest work Folded Square, the exhibition consists of both standing sculptures and wall installations. We invite you to explore Yun’s unique visual language and the distinctive world of his work built through years of contemplation.
