김선영展 '일상의 오브제, 예술이 되다', 갤러리아백화점 명품관에서 개최!
일상의 사물이 예술로 거듭나는 특별한 순간, 조각가 김선영의 개인전 ‘일상의 오브제, 예술이 되다’가 2025년 4월 25일부터 5월 18일까지 청담동 갤러리아백화점 명품관에서 열린다.
김선영 작가는 일상에서 흔히 접하는 가방과 반지 등 친숙한 오브제를 조형 언어로 재해석하며 인간 존재와 기억, 정체성, 관계성을 탐구하는 작품 세계를 구축해왔습니다. 이번 전시는 그러한 작가의 철학과 예술적 실험을 대중에게 쉽게 다가갈수 있는 공간에서 개최한다
전시의 대표작 중 하나는 4천 명의 사람이 손을 맞잡아 형성된 3m 높이의 대형 야외 조각으로,스테인리스 스틸로 제작된 반지 형상은 공동체의 연대와 화합을 상징한다.
이외에도 백자와 손지갑을 모티프로 한 입체 조형과 부조, 브론즈·레진·크리스탈을 활용한 반지 형상의 다양한 작품, 그리고 명품 브랜드를 의인화한 가방 조각 등은 전통과 현대, 물질과 정신, 익숙함과 새로움의 경계를 넘나들며 관람객에게 깊은 사유를 유도한다.
이번 전시는 갤러리아백화점 광교점에서의 뜨거운 호응에 이어, 새로운 공간과 구성으로 청담동 갤러리아 명품관에서 개최된다.
전시는 다음의 네 공간에서 진행된다.

“Everyday Objects Become Art”
To be held at Galleria Luxury Hall, Cheongdam
Experience the transformative power of art through familiar objects. The solo exhibition “Everyday Objects Become Art” by sculptor Kim Sun-Young will be held from April 25 to May 18, 2025, at the Galleria Luxury Hall in Cheongdam-dong.
Kim Sun-Young reinterprets everyday items—such as bags and rings—into sculptural language, exploring themes of human existence, memory, identity, and relationships. This exhibition brings her artistic philosophy and experiments into a space where the public can engage with them more directly and intimately.
One of the key highlights is a three-meter-tall outdoor sculpture in the form of a ring, symbolizing unity and solidarity. Created from stainless steel, the work is composed of 4,000 joined hands. Other notable pieces include three-dimensional works and reliefs inspired by white porcelain and hand purses, ring-shaped sculptures made with bronze, resin, and crystal, and bag sculptures personifying luxury brands. These works cross the boundaries between tradition and modernity, material and spirit, the familiar and the new—offering viewers a deeply reflective experience.
Following a warm reception at Galleria Department Store in Gwanggyo, this new exhibition finds its home in a reimagined setting at Galleria Luxury Hall in Cheongdam, expanding both its scale and context.
