박태광 작가, 2025 봄 누망전 '함께 봄을 기다리며...' 진부령미술관에서 개최(2)!

박태광 작가 2025년 봄 누망전 '함께 봄을 기다리며...' 전시가 강원도 인제군 북면 진부령로 663에 있는 진부령미술관(관장 전석진)에서 진 3월 6일부터 열리고 있다. 

이번 전시 '박태광 풍경에 대하여'와 '세상의 사람들을 그리고 싶다' 로 구성되어 있다. 전시는 4월 27일까지 볼 수 있다.

[박태광 풍경에 대하여]

자연에 대한 서정적 감정을 산야를 직접 찾아 관조하면서 이로부터 감응되는 감정을 강열한 열정과 강한 붓 터치와 나이프로 거친 임파스토한 작업, 고결한 채색으로 구성하며 백지화면에 질서를 잡는다. 즉 작가는 자연의 본질적인 아름다움을 자신의 삶과 환희의 일면으로 그의 작품 속에 예찬 한 것으로 생각된다. 

물론  작가는 수차 개인전을 가지면서 풍경화,정물화, 인물화에도 대단한 기량과 탁월함을  가지고 있다.  그의 작품들은 작가의 성격만큼이나 밝고 순수한 미의 본질을 중량감 있는 채색과 구도로 그의 예술의 혼을 잘 표출해 놓았다.

특히 작가는 표출고자 하는 대상물을 선택하는 데 있어서 그 누구보다도 많은 고뇌를 한다. 자연 속에 자신을 묻어, 자연이 대상이 아닌 자신의 예술세계로 정제하여 섭렵한 다음 작가 자신만의 독창적인 회화적 언어로 승화시킬 수 있는 역량을 자기고 있는 작가이기 때문이다.

특히 작품 대부분이 자연의 실경만을 계절 따라 시차에 다양하게 변화하는 모습과  빛이 표면에 부딪힘으로서 나타나는 반사적 역광 처리까지 포착하여 화폭위에 나타내고 있다. 정제된 채색처리, 적정한 화면처리,  빛에 굴절된 밝고 어두운 상황 처리도 무난하게 완숙하게 처리하고 있다.
 

박태광의 앵글에 포착된 자연은 조망된 대자연의 풍광들에서부터 한적한 자연의 이면에 이르기까지 다양하게 전개된다. 그러나 박태광의 그림에서 공통적으로 나타나는 것은 자연에 대한 지고한 애정으로부터 인간으로까지 파급된 생의 요소이다. 이는 그가 선택한 자연뿐 아니라 이를 표현하고자 그가 선호하는 색채와 공간운용, 그리고 선의 향연에서 고르게 나타나고 있다. 

자연에 대한 깊은 애정이 반영된 그의 그림들은 치열한 삶의 흔적들  보다는, 고즈넉한 자연 그 자체의 아름다움과 시적 정취를 강조하는 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 그것은 바쁜 일상에서 우리가 흔히 잊고 살아온 고향의 서정에 응축된 정감의 표현이자, 작가 자신에게는 예술을 통해 인간애로 나아가고자 하는 실천적 에너지요 리얼리티이기도 하다.

그가 포착한 대상, 즉 포구나 시골마을, 요동치는 푸른 바다와 심연의 하늘 등을 거침없이 화면에 담아낸다. 이때 그는 집이나 밭고랑, 들풀 등 개개의 생명체들을 나이프로 특징을 정확하게 형태와 색채로 재현하면서도, 이러한 대상들은 그의 직관에 의해 요추된 상태로 우리 앞에 제시되어 경직된 구석이라고는 찾아볼 수 없다. 

색채는 자연 상태의 그것보다 생기롭고 경관은 수려하다. 언뜻 추상회화의 분방함이 화면의 기조를 이루는가 하면 화면 자체가 물감과 어우러져 평면회화로서의 존재론적 타당성을 확보한다. 각각의 대상들은 서로의 자태를 뽐내는 듯이 독립적으로 존재하는 듯 하지만 어느덧 화면 안에서 서로의 가치를 존중하며 어우러져 있다. 그가 담아내는 자연의 피조물들은 윤기 가득한 풍요로움과 고향의 서정이 농축된 정감 있는 리얼리티가 병존한다.

이와 더불어 그의 그림이 우리에게 지속적인 공감을 확보하는 이유가 또 한 가지 있다. 박태광의 그림에는 진실성을 바탕으로 작가의 감흥과, 그림을 보고 우리가 느끼는 감흥이 서로 공명하는 어떤 힘 같은 것이 존재한다. 아마도 그것은 작가가 자연을 관조하는 가운데, 그 안에서의 인간적 삶을 원천적으로 긍정하는 눈빛과 체온 실린 붓질로 대상을 그려가기 때문일 것이다.

While visiting and contemplating lyrical feelings about nature in the mountains, the emotions sensed from them are composed of intense passion, strong brush touch, rough impasto work with a knife, and noble coloring, and order is established on the blank screen. In other words, it is thought that the artist praised the essential beauty of nature in his work as one aspect of his life and joy. Of course, the artist has great skills and excellence in landscape painting, still life painting, and portrait painting while having several solo exhibitions. His works express the soul of his art well with heavy coloring and composition of the essence of beauty as bright and pure as the artist's personality.

In particular, the artist has more agony than anyone else in selecting the object to be expressed. This is because he is an artist who has the ability to bury himself in nature, refine and master nature into his art world, not an object, and then sublimate it into the artist's own original pictorial language. In particular, most of the works capture the appearance of various changes in time difference according to the season only in the real scene of nature and the reflective backlight treatment that appears when light hits the surface and shows it on the canvas. Purified coloring treatment, appropriate screen treatment, and light and dark situation treatment refracted by light are also handled in good and mature manner.

Colors are more vivid than ones in nature, and landscape is beautiful. Liberty of the abstract painting seems to be based and also the ground itself is harmonized with paints, where his works secure ontological logicality as plane paintings. Subjects seem to stand respectively looking like competing one other, however they are merged into s frame with respecting each value. Natural creatures the artist represents have both glowing richness and amiable reality implying feeling of home.
